Fluff [fluhf] n.
1. Useless, meaningless, pointless, unnecessary, extra, additional words inserted into an essay or paper in a conscious but often futile attempt to make oneself sound more intelligent or sophisticated. Makes the paper significantly more complicated and difficult to understand, while adding little or nothing to the overall meaning. Many times, causes an idea that could and should have been stated simply and without these needless complexities to take up more space, time, and resources than necessary, causing them to go to waste when they are desperately needed in other parts of the world; I thought her essay had some good ideas, but most of the first seven pages are fluff.
2. All the stuff you don't need
