Less is More?

Today in American Studies:

Sibby: Hey Sadia! They're goin' to D.C.!
Sadia: What? Who?
Sibby: They're goin' to Washington, not Mexico!
Sadia: Sibghat, you need to use more words.

(btw- Sibby was trying to refer to a change in the plan for the model U.N. conference; none of us got it either)

Today, Ms. Sturt, the bio teacher, was talking about genetic disorders in sperm. Unclear about what was being explained, Farzan asked, "So when you have a trisomy or a monosomy you are like a retarded sperm?" Ms. Sturt replied back saying, "I think for PC reasons we should just call them imperfect sperm." Farzan responded, "Well then are there preterit sperms too?" OAIA
